License and reuse

How to reuse the Foundation's work, and what it asks in return.

The Economy of Wisdom Foundation publishes for public benefit and wants its work read, cited, and surfaced widely. Reuse is granted on one condition set, stated here so anyone can act on it without asking.

The license

Content on economyofwisdom.org, the field notes, essays, and page text, together with the quadrant figures the Foundation produces, is © 2026 Economy of Wisdom Foundation and licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

Under that license you may copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, provided you:

  • Attribute. Credit the Foundation and link back to the source, in the format below.
  • Keep it non-commercial. Do not use the material for commercial advantage without written permission.
  • Share it whole. Do not distribute altered, remixed, or repackaged versions; share the work as published.

Quoting a passage to report on, cite, or critique the work is ordinary fair dealing and is welcome. The no-derivatives term governs republishing the work itself in changed form, not writing about it.

How to attribute

A citation that satisfies the license:

“[Title of the field note or essay]” by the Economy of Wisdom Foundation (economyofwisdom.org), licensed under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0.

Where the medium allows, link the title to the specific page and the license name to the license deed.

What this does not cover

  • The formal papers. Transmutarianism, Whose Values Train AI?, and Synthetic Voices Erase Human Texture are published on Zenodo with their own permanent DOIs and carry the license stated there.
  • Third-party material. Quotations, cited data, statistics, and any images or figures credited to others remain under their original rights and are not licensed by the Foundation.
  • The framework site. Content on transmutarianism.org is governed separately.
  • Names and marks. The Foundation's name, logo, and the Transmutarianism marks are not licensed for reuse and may not be used to imply endorsement.

Permissions beyond the license

Commercial use, republication in altered or translated form, or inclusion in a commercial product or training corpus on other terms is available by agreement. Write to sev@economyofwisdom.com with the work, the intended use, and the audience.
